Sadie does not like to lie down. This is nothing new – it’s the reason she sleeps upright in her swing, loves her bumbo seat, and lounges on the couch like a big girl.

It’s also the reason that she will now only sit in her stroller without the carseat portion. She likes to sit at a 90 degree angle so she can see everything. Also, she is now actively trying to balance herself in a sitting position. She has begun “tripod” sitting. I love it!

She still hates tummy time, but it’s very important in strengthening her muscles, so we try to find tricks to get her to do it without screaming. We’ve also been noticing Sadie desperately trying to sneak a peek at the TV. We don’t let her look at it, so when it is on, we face her away from it, and she’ll contort herself in all kinds of positions to get a glimpse. We took advantage of this for tummy time the other night.

She has also gotten pretty aggressive lately with the hand chewing.

This has obviously made our daily photo shoots more difficult! And this is the look I get when I pull her hands out of her mouth.

I’d also like to show off the new, big girl sneakers I bought Sadie yesterday on our first of many mother/daughter trips to the mall. Expect to see a lot more of these shoes, because I like them so much, that on our first mother/father/daughter trip to the mall today, I bought them in the next two sizes as well!
