She's Wishing She'd Just Grow Up Already!

Sadie didn't arrive four weeks early for nothing! She's in quite a hurry to feel older than she is. For example, we've started putting her in her high chair during dinner time even though she's not actually eating real food yet. This keeps her happy and fuss-free during dinner because she can see what's going on and feel like a part of it. That great big chair just swallows her up though!
Sadie has also retired the sink bath. She insists on sitting up during bath time so the reclining bath seat no longer works. Here is Sadie having a great time in her new bath seat with her Sitty! Of course, this seat swallows her up too!

Mean Mommy

In an effort to help Sadie develop in her quest for independence (which she feels very strongly about!), I put one of her favorite toys, her elephant, just out of reach. She put so much effort into crawling toward it, but it's just not happening yet! If anything, she was inching backward! You can see the puddle of drool that formed on her playmat during her intense concentration.

At this point, I couldn't take it anymore! So sad!

So Mommy just handed her the toy!

Finally! Happy at last!

So then we moved on to more stressfree playtime. Here is Sadie in her new exersaucer. She loves it. Everyday she discovers something new about it. Today it was all about the little bird. She was fascinated at how she could move it up and down.

Then she got tired and decided she wanted her elephant again!

Yum!

And just for fun, here are some shots of my giggly girl!
