“Play” Time Does Not Equal “Fun” Time Around Here!

To Sadie, playtime is serious business! It is hard work, filled with lots of grunting, groaning, sweat, and sometimes even tears. Seriously, she focuses so much on trying to do what she can’t do, that she’s not enjoying what she can do. She doesn’t like being on her tummy, because she can’t yet crawl. She doesn’t like being on her back, because then she can’t see everything around her. She used to only want to sit up, but now that she can do that, she only wants to stand. She puts every single toy that she has, in her mouth, but gets frustrated because she can’t fit the whole thing in there! Being a baby is tough work! But I sure love my little hard worker!

She’s trying hard to fit that in her tiny mouth!

Tired of sitting, she insists on standing! up

And soon enough, we’re back in the mouth!

She took a big bite for this one!

This starts off looking promising…

…but soon goes right in the mouth!

She came equipped with her own chew toy for this one!

It’s hard to tell from the picture, but every time the mobile comes around, she tries to get it in her mouth!

But she does take time out to check herself out.

And then after all that hard work, she needs some serious relaxation!

(As a side note – overstimulation much? And I wonder why she’s always too wound up to sleep...!!)
