Just Like Mommy...

I looked up today to find Sadie standing with her hands against the sliding glass door, staring out. The pose struck me as funny, so I took pictures of it. (What else is new??) Anyway, as I was looking though them later, they reminded me of a pose I did on my wedding day... So funny!

Little Monkey!

Cheerio Monster!

Sadie is obsessed with Cheerios. Nothing else compares, and she would seriously eat them every second of the day if she could. Cheerios are the instant cure for any fussiness! But she will no longer let me have any role in feeding them to her. She'll clamp her mouth shut if I try to feed her one, and then take it from my fingers and feed herself. And she also loves to dump them on the floor and then pick them up one by one. So today I bought her a new type of bowl. She thought it was so funny to dump all of her cheerios out of this new "spill-proof" bowl...

Laughing hysterically...

Showing Mommy what she's got...

Shoveling those Cheerios in...

Kissy Face!!

Lately, I've been calling Sadie "my little kissy face," because she has become quite the little kisser. Recently, I posted some pictures of her giving kisses to Mommy and Daddy. Here are some pictures of her kissing her stuffed animals. She is so sweet about it!

Waving hello to introduce herself...

...then going in for the kiss!

"Mwahhhhhhh!"

She had to squat down to his level for this one...

Giving her new toy the smile...

...then pulling him in for the kiss!

Pulling Elmo close...

...and then laying a big one on him!

Sadie's Weekend with Sitty

On Wednesday of this past week, Nate and I were suddenly presented with the opportunity to attend Marriage Encounter, a couples’ weekend through our church. Our initial response was that there was no way whatsoever that we could make it; after all, I’ve never been away from Sadie for more than three hours, and this retreat had every minute of it scheduled, and things like family members, cell phones, and watches were not allowed. But, the more we heard about it, the more we knew it was important for us to be there. So we made it happen with the help of our families and some awesome people at the church. We got my mom a room at the hotel so that I could still find a minute every few hours to sneak in a feeding. And at night, my mom graciously sacrificed her sleep, so that we could be down the hall from Sadie for feedings. Nate and I had an amazing experience at this retreat, and I think Sadie had a good time with her Sitty!
